On 1 July 2019, Walibi Holland will open the first hybrid roller coaster in Europe.
The present wooden roller coaster Robin Hood is being rebuilt by Rocky Mountain Construction into a roller coaster consisting of a combination of wood and steel.
Until October 2018, guests can still enjoy the current Robin Hood, after which it will be converted into a completely new roller coaster.

I Corsari, the iconic dark ride at Gardaland, is undergoing a substantial renovation for 2018, including the addition of new 3D video projection mapping technology and a new soundtrack.
When it opened to visitors in 1992 the I Corsari dark ride was the biggest projects ever completed in an Italian theme park. Its construction involved working with as many as 30 partners – Italian and American, over 3 years and an overall investment of 60 billion liras.

Walibi Belgium has plans to transform the theme park over the next 5 years and will invest more than 100 million euros.
The first additions will be seen this year, with a new family roller coaster in a completely re-themed exotic area for 2018.
Not only will new attractions be added each year, but until 2022/23 each zone of the theme park will be completely refreshed in terms of theming, design and experience so that at the end of this historic investment plan 75% of the theme park will be renewed.

LEGOLAND Billund will celebrate its 50th birthday in 2018 and to mark the occasion it will refresh and extend the LEGOREDO Town area of the theme park, giving LEGO Canoe a makeover and launching the new Flying Eagle roller coaster.

Heide Park has announced the eagerly awaited decision on the future of Colossos, which was once Europe's tallest and fastest wooden coaster.
The ride has been closed since July 2016, with inspections revealing that the condition of the track was unacceptable for the ride to operate, causing doubts over the future of the ride.
