LEGOLAND Billund Resort in Denmark has officially launched its newest attraction, Minifigure Speedway, marking the park's largest investment in recent years.

Following its successful debut at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort in the UK, the ZIERER Dueling Reverse Coaster has now arrived at the Danish flagship park.

This high-octane addition officially welcomed its first riders at the end of March, coinciding with the start of the park's 2026 season.

A Giant Addition to the Skyline

Towering over the entrance to the ride is a 10-metre tall LEGO Minifigure, setting the stage for a turbo-charged experience. Minifigure Speedway is a family-friendly duelling coaster that pits two teams (Team Legends and Team All Stars) against one another in a high-speed race to the finish line.

The attraction features two parallel tracks, each approximately 263 metres long. In a unique twist for the Danish park, the trains race both forwards and backwards, reaching top speeds of up to 57 km/h.

Enhancing the Guest Experience

Michael Ottesen, CEO of LEGOLAND Billund Resort, highlighted the significance of the new addition:

"Minifigure Speedway is our largest investment in the park in several years. We are continuously working to enhance the LEGOLAND experience for young and old alike, and with the duelling element, Minifigure Speedway creates fun and competition that the whole family can take part in."

Manufacturer ZIERER expressed pride in delivering their second unit of this innovative concept to Merlin Entertainments, noting that the ride combines a compact design with high capacity and a novel riding experience.
