Disneyland Paris has officially inaugurated Disney Adventure World, the reimagined and expanded second theme park that was formerly known as Walt Disney Studios Park.
The grand reopening on March 29, 2026, marks the debut of the highly anticipated World of Frozen and a complete shift in the park's creative identity.
The transition was made official with a spectacular stunt as Spider-Man appeared at the top of the iconic Earffel Tower to reveal the new Disney Adventure World name to cheering crowds.
The public opening ceremony was led by Natacha Rafalski, Présidente of Disneyland Paris, and Tasia Filippatos, President & Managing Director of Disney Parks International, alongside children from Make-A-Wish who were the very first to step onto the new Adventure Way.
A Cold Front Hits Paris: World of Frozen
The centerpiece of this latest transformation is World of Frozen, an immersive land that transports guests to the Kingdom of Arendelle. Fans of the global phenomenon can now experience Frozen Ever After here in Europe, a boat attraction that takes voyagers on a musical journey through the North Mountain.
The land also features:
- A Celebration in Arendelle: A new show where Olaf is brought to life using next-generation robotic technology.
- Arendelle Village: Home to several new dining and shopping locations, offering authentic Nordic-inspired treats and merchandise.
- Royal Meet and Greets: Opportunities to meet Anna, Elsa, and their friends in a faithful recreation of the castle and village.

Adventure Way and Raiponce Tangled Spin
Leading guests from the existing park areas to the new lakefront is Adventure Way, a lavishly landscaped promenade. Along this path, guests can now ride Raiponce Tangled Spin, a new family attraction inspired by Disney’s Tangled. The ride features sculpted gondolas that spin guests through the iconic floating lanterns scene from the film.
At the end of the promenade sits The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge, a stylish table-service location offering panoramic views of the park’s new centerpiece: Adventure Bay.

A Nighttime Milestone: Disney Cascade of Lights
As the sun sets on Disney Adventure World, the park hosts its first-ever daily nighttime spectacular on Adventure Bay. Titled Disney Cascade of Lights, the new show utilizes a massive 70,000 cubic meter body of water to stage a production involving drones, fire, water screens, fountains, and pyrotechnics.

The Transformation Continues
The renaming to Disney Adventure World reflects a move away from the 'behind-the-scenes' studio theme of 2002 toward a park focused on stepping into the stories of Disney franchises. This reopening is the culmination of a multi-year, two-billion-euro investment that has already seen the addition of Marvel Avengers Campus and Worlds of Pixar.
While World of Frozen is now open, the expansion is not over. There has been some disappointment that only two rides have been added to the park as part of this year's renaming. Frozen Ever After is a clone of the same ride that has been operating at Walt Disney World's EPCOT since 2016, along with two other versions, one at Hong Kong Disneyland (since 2023) and the other at Tokyo Disney Resort (since 2024). Raiponce Tangled Spin is a basic spinning teacup-style ride. Later this year, an Up-themed chair swing ride will open. These are both simple, low-cost amusement park rides.
However, a major new The Lion King-themed water-based flume ride will be coming to Disney Adventure World. Guests will travel through the Pride Lands, featuring a 37-metre-high Pride Rock, with next-gen animatronics and three drops including a 16-metre descent.
