Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company Robert A. Iger announced plans for a 2 billion euro expansion for Disneyland Paris alongside French President Emmanuel Macron today.

The new development will include a transformation of Walt Disney Studios, adding three new areas that will be based on Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars.

There will be multiple new attractions and live entertainment experiences.

For the first time in Norway, thrill seekers will be able to experience a new virtual reality experience on a roller coaster at Tusenfryd.

On June 11 this year, it will be 30 years since Tusenfryd opened its doors for the first time, and for the same period of time the theme park has been one of the country's biggest tourist attractions with approx. 450,000 visitors per year. Before the opening of the anniversary season, the park has had a total of over 12 million visitors.

Steampunk Hunters will be introduced to the Western Expressen, a junior coaster from Vekoma that has been running at the theme park since 2012.

Parques Reunidos has acquired Belantis, the theme park located in Leipzig, Germany.

Germany is a strategic market for Parques Reunidos. This acquisition strengthens the group’s strategy and reinforces its market positioning in Germany, where the group already owns Movie Park Germany, one of the leading parks in the country.

The acquisition includes 27 ha. of nearby land for the expansion of the park.

Starting in April 2018, visitors to Futuroscope will be able to experience Sébastien Loeb's rally driving through an unprecedented combination of virtual reality and 5D.

The new attraction will bring together a 360° 6K film presented through VR headsets, dynamic bucket seats with 6 axis of movement, spacial sound and added effects such as wind and water.

Sébastien Loeb Racing Xpérience is being developed by Futuroscope in partnership with FrayMédia.
