Speaking at the blooloop V-Expo, Michael Mack, Chief Executive Officer of Europa-Park, revealed plans to add at least 2 new themed areas and 5 new attractions over the next few years, including a new roller coaster in 2023.
Mack also spoke about how they are increasingly developing their new rides and attractions in-house, and how they are using storytelling to link together multiple experiences across the resort and beyond.
The proposed new roller coaster in 2023 would be the first roller coaster to open at the park since the Ba-a-a-Express in 2016.
Europa-Park in Germany is Europe's second most visited theme park, attracting over 5.5 million people a year.
There are currently 18 themed lands at Europa-Park, a sprawling theme park with over 100 rides and attractions, including 13 roller coasters.
This year, the park re-opened their popular dark ride Pirates in Batavia, after re-building it from scratch following a fire that destroyed the original ride in 2018.
blooloop V-Expo is the world's first online conference and exhibition for the global visitor attractions industry, taking place on October 13-15.
