The transformation of water ride De Boomstammetjes at Plopsaland De Panne is well underway, with Dino Splash due to open in Summer 2019.

An investment of €5 million is being made to refurbish the log flume and create an immersive prehistoric landscape with volcanoes and dinosaurs.

The original ride opened in 1989 but will soon be almost unrecognisable following the completion of the project. Nearby roller coaster De Draak will also benefit from the enhancements as it passes through the themed area.

Steve Van den Kerkhof, Plopsa Group CEO:

“We think it’s important to keep on investing constantly, even in the existing areas, so that they stay nice and up-to-date. Given the enormous popularity of dinosaurs with children and after the successful integration of the Dino Splash in Plopsa Coo, it is a logical decision to introduce dinosaurs in Plopsaland De Panne. We are convinced of the continued popularity of dinosaurs with children. We also have plans to work on this theme in the context of schools and educational projects.”

Plopsaland De Panne is a family theme park near Bruges in Belgium. It features more than 30 rides and attractions for adults and children. Highlights include Anubis: The Ride and Heidi: The Ride.
