Futuroscope in France has announced more details of their ambitious €300m transformation over the next 10 years, including three major new attractions, two themed hotels and an indoor water park.

By the end of the investment project, Futuroscope hopes to attract over 2.5m visitors per year (650,000 more than the current attendance) and increase its turnover by 75%.

The expansion of the park should also lead to the creation of 750 extra jobs.

New attractions

Over the next few years, the park plans to introduce three major attractions with a budget of €20m each.

Attraction 1: Chasseurs de Tornades / Tornado Hunters (2022)

Opening in 2022, the new Tornado Hunters attraction will be an immersive adventure combining real sets, a live show and a dynamic 120-seat rotating platform.

Attraction 2: Mission Bermudes / Mission Bermuda (2024)

Then, in 2024, the opening of a new indoor and outdoor water ride, Mission Bermuda.

Attraction 3: TBC (2026)

A third major new attraction will open in 2026, but the name and details are yet to be announced.

Resort developments

Hôtel Station Cosmos (2022)

This modern space-themed hotel, opening in 2022, will include 76 rooms and HyperLoop, the first Rollercoaster Restaurant in France.

Hôtel Eco Lodgee (2023)

The second new hotel, opening in 2023, will consist of 120 family lodges with terraces.

Aquascope (2024)

A themed and covered water park, Aquascope will open in 2024 and offer visitors multiple water-based experiences faithful to the technological ethos of Futuroscope.
