Parc Astérix, the popular French theme park, is gearing up for the launch of a thrilling new attraction in 2025, Cétautomatix, a spinning roller coaster that will take visitors on an unforgettable ride.

Cétautomatix will be located in the heart of the park’s Gaul-themed area, paying tribute to the beloved character, the village blacksmith from the Astérix comic books. This new roller coaster, which is currently under construction, will feature spinning ride vehicles that promise a dynamic and unpredictable experience for guests.

Designed by the renowned German manufacturer Gerstlauer, the roller coaster will allow riders to sit face-to-face, adding an element that will enhance the thrill of the ride, especially for families and groups of friends.

Cétautomatix will be accessible to riders from just one metre tall, making it an ideal experience for families. Guests will board custom-designed chariots inspired by the blacksmith's workshop, setting the stage for a fun, whirlwind adventure through the Gaulish world. This new attraction is expected to be a big hit with visitors seeking excitement, as it offers a fresh take on the traditional roller coaster design.

In preparation for the new ride, Parc Astérix has made room by closing several attractions. Among them is the Nationale 7, a classic ride that allowed guests to travel through a rural setting in vintage cars since 1992. Also disappearing are the House of Fear and the Fair of 6 Fears, which were staples of the park’s Halloween celebrations.

As part of a broader strategy to continually innovate, this new attraction will help boost the park's appeal in a competitive market. Parc Astérix has always prioritised providing unique and immersive experiences, and Cétautomatix is no exception. With its new roller coaster, the park is set to thrill visitors both young and old, ensuring that the Astérix universe continues to captivate fans for years to come.

This investment highlights the park's commitment to expansion and innovation, even in the face of space limitations due to its location near a protected forest. As the park continues to grow, Cétautomatix is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting new chapter in the world of Parc Astérix.
