Alton Towers Resort has announced its highly anticipated new ride, Toxicator, set to deliver an exhilarating, record-breaking experience for thrillseekers this spring.

The attraction, a first-of-its-kind in the UK Top Spin Suspended ride, promises to subject riders to heart-pounding centrifugal forces and intense spin patterns like never before.

Fans have been treated to a sneak peek of the ride in a TV advert unveiled this week. While the exact opening date is yet to be revealed, Alton Towers promises the wait will be worth it.

Toxicator will stand at a towering 78 feet, thanks to its placement on a 16-foot elevated platform. This elevated design is a world-first feature, allowing visitors to watch the action from below as riders are flipped, spun, and held face-down above a "bubbling pool of highly toxic alien acid". The ride’s unique, back-to-back seating arrangement will accommodate over 500 riders per hour, making it one of the most thrilling and high-capacity attractions in the park.

Situated in the iconic Forbidden Valley area, Toxicator is not only a technological marvel but also a pivotal part of the ongoing Nemesis saga. The ride has been developed by a shadowy organization known as The Phalanx, whose sinister experiments involve extracting and separating toxic saliva from the infamous Nemesis creature. This toxic substance is then subjected to intense centrifugal force, transforming it into a chemical solution so powerful that it can melt anything it touches.
