For the first time, Movieland invited everyone to celebrate diversity with an LGBTQ+ event at 'The Hollywood Park' in Italy.

Movieland was completely transformed with rainbow decorations, a colourful parade, live performances, DJ sets, rides and attractions open until late, and a special finale show with fireworks to light up the sky.

We went along to the event on May 21, and had a great time at the first ever pride at a theme park in Italy.

The event kicked off with a Pride Parade featuring park mascot Movy, performers from the various shows at the park, drag queens and the percussionist orchestra Appel.

A variety of live performers graced the stage including Alexandra Mcqueen, Yvonne O'Neill, Donna Sofia, Angel Off-White, Danny Spooky, Mary Maison and Crystal Versace.

Vocalists included Lorenzo Bosio, Giusva from Radio Wow and Krystian from Milord Verona. DJ sets by Axel & Andrew and Iuri Dj from Artclubdisco rounded off the lineup.

We took the opportunity to experience some of the best rides at Movieland, including Kitt SuperJet, Magma 2.1, Diabolik Invertigo and the fantastic new ride Space Mission Orbit, with an upward launch and a downward free fall. Some of these were made even more thrilling in the dark!

At the very end of the night, a spectacular show of music, dance, projection, lights, smoke and fireworks brought everyone together for a superb finale.

It was wonderful to see so many people attend the event, with a wide mix of ages and nationalities, all celebrating pride.
