The partnership between Ducati and Mirabilandia announced last November now takes shape with the official laying of the first stone inside the famous Italian amusement park located in Ravenna, in the Emilia-Romagna region.
Ducati World will occupy some 35,000 m2 inside Mirabilandia, making it the first themed area in the world to be inspired by a motorcycle brand.
In addition to the management of Mirabiliandia, the event was attended by Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, and also MotoGP and SBK flag bearers Andrea Dovizioso and Marco Melandri.

The first test run of new dive coaster Valkyria at Liseberg was completed on Saturday 7th July, when one of the trains completed a circuit of the track for the first time.
There will now be a period of testing, fine tuning, staff training and finally an inspection of the ride, before it can open to the public.
Valkyria – which will open in summer 2018, will be the largest and longest dive coaster in Europe.

Toverland theme park in the Netherlands has opened the new entrance area Port Laguna and new themed land Avalon. The new attractions include wing coaster Fēnix, boat ride Merlin’s Quest and interactive magic show Magiezijn.
With the new expansion of 7 hectares, Toverland has become one-and-a-half times bigger and the project has involved an investment of 35 million euros.
Technical problems affected the opening of Fēnix which was delayed for several hours but is now operating.

Europa-Park has celebrated the traditional topping-out ceremony of their sixth themed hotel, Krønasår, which will form part of a major expansion to the resort in Germany.
The new hotel is located adjacent to Rulantica, a new water park also under construction at Europa-Park, and both will open in 2019.
Krønasår will be modelled after a natural history museum. At the entrance area, hotel guests will discover the skeleton of a sea serpent, part of a story about 'the legendary island Rulantica’.

Djurs Sommerland are investing more than €5 million in a new thrill ride for 2019, Denmark’s biggest (and one of Europe’s highest) Gyro Swings, Tigeren.
The new ride will be the tallest and fastest attraction at Djurs Sommerland when it opens in May 2019.
It will be part of a new themed area, Wild Asia, together with DrageKongen (Europe’s fastest and longest Family Suspended Coaster) and this year's two new rides for all the family – Jungle Rally and Safaribussen.
