Walibi Belgium held a Popcorn Day event at the Wijnegem shopping centre on 19 January to promote their new interactive attraction opening in 2019, Popcorn Revenge.

The new Erratic Ride at Walibi Belgium will feature Popcorn Revenge, a brand new IP from Alterface, and trackless Multi Mover vehicles by ETF.

Alterface’s recently launched Erratic Ride is the first non-linear mixed-media ride ever with dynamic scene changing, whereby players can determine the sequence depending on their ranking and preferences.

Parc Astérix launches a new 4D attraction in April 2019, Attention Menhir!

For the first time in its history, the theme park will offer a 4D film in a new theatre that can accommodate 300 people. Special effects will accompany the unique new film with an original script inspired by Albert Uderzo and René Goscinny’s famous comic book.

Lasting 15 minutes, this new experience will open to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the theme park.

Europe's first Sesame Street dark ride will open at PortAventura in 2019.

The popular theme park will debut a new attraction suitable for all family members, a Sesame Street themed dark ride located in SesamoAventura.

It will feature a 10 minute pre-show and a ride experience that lasts almost 6 minutes. Feel like a real detective as Grover takes you on an adventure full of challenges... but will you be able to help Grover solve his secret mission?

The ride has been developed by Sally Corporation and Sesame Workshop.

Tivoli Gardens will invest around 100 million DKK (€13.5 million) in new rides during 2019, as older rides are replaced with new ones.

New attractions include antenna-free Bumper Cars, and after 30 million rides The Odin Express roller coaster will be replaced by The Milky Way

The children's roller coaster The Camel Trail will be replaced by a longer version, and the 3-in-1 Fatamorgana ride will provide even more thrills.

Parc Saint Paul will open a new Dino Disk'O Coaster in 2019.

Mixing together the effects of a roller coaster and a spinning ride, the carriage runs along a 92m (302ft) track reaching a maximum speed of 70km/h and up to a height of 15.5m (51ft).

It represents an investment of €1.5 million, and follows a successful season in 2018 with the theme park attracting 373,000 visitors.

The ride will be supplied by Italian manufacturer Zamperla.
