The Dutch theme park Efteling has officially revealed the name and design of the highly anticipated new attraction coming to its reimagined Raveleijn themed world.

Named Ravenring, the new ride will invite visitors to participate in an exciting flight ritual when it opens to the public this winter.

Situated just outside the city walls of the magical city of Raveleijn, the new attraction will allow guests to soar through the air in winged vehicles inspired by ravens, the mysterious black birds deeply connected to the lore of Raveleijn.

Ravenring features 18 winged vehicles capable of accommodating 36 riders at a time. Designed to test the courage, flying skills and endurance of passengers, the ride allows guests to use an on-board lever to personally decide how steeply their individual vehicle tilts. These smooth movements and interactive tilts are set to create a dynamic, thrilling experience.

The attraction will feature a minimum height requirement of one metre, making it accessible to younger heroes.

Visually, Ravenring will be anchored by a large Raven medallion at the centre of the ring. The surrounding area will be heavily decorated with banners and iconography representing the five magical elements characteristic of Raveleijn. At the conclusion of the experience, riders will discover which of these five elements suits them best: water (blue), fire (red), wood (green), earth (brown) or metal (purple).

A Renewed Themed Area

The introduction of Ravenring forms part of a wider transformation of the Raveleijn area, which Efteling first announced in August 2025.

Alongside the new attraction, the park’s signature live show is being completely renewed in collaboration with the French theme park Puy du Fou. This updated production will feature a brand new storyline alongside impressive new special effects.

Both Ravenring and the new live show are scheduled to debut concurrently this winter. Efteling has stated that more details regarding the updated show, as well as the exact opening date for the entire renewed area, will be announced later this year.
