The wait is finally over for anime fans across Europe. On Saturday, April 4, Parc Spirou Provence in France opened the gates to Naruto – Konoha Land, a massive 1.5-hectare expansion that brings the world’s most famous ninja village to life.

Marking the first major Naruto-themed destination in Europe, the new area represents a multi-year collaboration between the park and license holders Média-Participations, Studio Pierrot, Shueisha, and TV Tokyo.

Following its grand opening this past weekend, guests can now immerse themselves in the Village Hidden in the Leaves, complete with iconic landmarks, high-energy attractions, and authentic Japanese soul food.

A Hero’s Welcome

The immersive experience begins the moment visitors pass through the Konoha Gate. The land is anchored by a scale recreation of the Hokage Rock, the mountain monument featuring the faces of the village’s leaders, which looms over the Hokage’s Office.

Throughout the area, fans will find ten life-sized character statues produced by the specialist Japanese firm Design COCO. These provide the perfect photo opportunity alongside favorites like Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. For those looking to relive the early days of Team 7, a recreation of the legendary Training Ground, complete with the three wooden logs, offers a nostalgic touchstone to the series’ beginnings.

The Headline Attractions

At the heart of Konoha Land are two brand-new attractions from Italian manufacturer Zamperla:

  • Kyūbi Unchained: This Family Thrill Launch Coaster is the area's centerpiece. Stretching over 700 metres, the ride features two powerful launches and a 30-meter vertical spike. Reaching speeds of up to 75 km/h, the coaster sends riders through a series of "chakra-fueled" maneuvers, including a section where the train travels in reverse to simulate the chaotic energy of the Nine-Tails fox.
  • Rasengan Chakra Rotation: Inspired by Naruto’s signature technique, this NebulaZ family ride features four revolving arms that spin gondolas in a mesmerizing, interlocking circular motion. It offers a dizzying sensation of "chakra control" suitable for ninjas of all ages.

Training and Tasting

The expansion isn't just about the rides; it's about the lifestyle of a shinobi. The Chūnin Exam Grounds have been realised as an interactive ninja course, allowing younger guests to test their agility and strength.

When it’s time to refuel, fans can head to the legendary Ichiraku Ramen. The restaurant serves authentic bowls of ramen, just like the ones Naruto enjoys in the series, alongside a Dango Shop offering traditional Japanese sweets.

A Global Celebration

To mark the opening, original Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto released a special piece of commemorative artwork, celebrating the franchise's deep connection with its French audience. Julien Papelier, CEO of Média-Participations, noted during the opening ceremony that the land is a "physical form of the special bonds" formed over 20 years of the series' history in Europe.

With the addition of Naruto – Konoha Land, Parc Spirou Provence has significantly bolstered its lineup, moving beyond its traditional Franco-Belgian comic roots into the global world of manga.

Naruto – Konoha Land is now open daily during school holidays and every weekend through November 11th. For more information and tickets, visit www.parc-spirou.com.
