Walibi Rhône-Alpes has opened its latest attraction, Répar’Ta Kar, offering a brand new experience for families visiting the Exotic Island area of the park.

Developed by the Italian manufacturer Zamperla, the attraction features off-road 4x4 vehicles that transport guests through a quirky exploration garage.

This unique ride, which opened on Saturday, April 25, 2026, is the first of its kind in Europe and is designed specifically with younger explorers in mind.

A Quirky Garage Adventure

Guests hop into rugged 4x4 vehicles for a lively journey through a quirky exploration garage. This is not just a simple drive; the vehicles are designed to spin and bounce as they move, creating a fun and slightly chaotic trip that is sure to get plenty of giggles.

The theme of the ride ties into the wider story of the Exotic Island area of the theme park. It serves as a repair shop for the vehicles used in the nearby MAHUKA attraction, and eagle-eyed fans will notice plenty of clever nods and references to the park’s recent archaeological discoveries throughout the queue and ride area.

Perfect for Little Explorers

One of the best features of Répar’Ta Kar is its accessibility. Children as small as 90cm tall can join in the fun, making it an ideal choice for families with toddlers who might not yet be ready for the park’s bigger roller coasters.

This new addition is part of a massive 8,500 square metre expansion of the Exotic Island world. There is even more to look forward to later this spring, as two more attractions are scheduled to open in May:

  • L’Expédition Perdue: An adventure trail featuring suspended bridges and slides.
  • Le Passage Oublié: A sensory garden maze designed to be explored using sight, touch, and smell.

A Great Value Family Day Out

The park continues to focus on being a perfect destination for families. Currently, over 70 per cent of the rides and shows at Walibi Rhône-Alpes are accessible to anyone over one metre tall. For those visiting with very young children, the park offers free entry for all youngsters under one metre, making it a fantastic option for a budget-friendly day of adventure.

Whether you are looking for the thrills of a launched coaster like MAHUKA or a gentle wander through a sensory maze, the latest additions to Exotic Island ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy this season.
