Efteling – the fairytale theme park in the south of Holland – will retheme an area including two attractions this autumn, the first phase of a development plan for Reizenrijk (the Travel Realm).
With an investment of €2.8 million, the two attractions Adventure Maze and Monsieur Cannibale will be adapted to become Archipel and Sirocco.
Both rides will be themed to Sindbad the Sailor, originating from the Tales of the Thousand and One Nights.

Fårup Sommerland has announced that it will open Denmark’s largest and fastest roller coaster in 2022.
Fønix (Phoenix) will be 40 m tall, reach speeds of up to 95 km/h, feature the world’s first 'stall loop' element, and have more airtime than any other ride in Scandinavia.
An investment of almost DKK 100 million (€13 million) is being made in the attraction, which comes from Dutch company Vekoma.

Guests can experience the new Movie Park Studio Tour indoor roller coaster at Movie Park Germany during a soft opening period from June 23.
The Multi Dimension Coaster from Intamin Amusement Rides is expected to begin regular operations at the start of the region's summer school holidays on July 5.
Germany's studio-themed park is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2021, so the new attraction is the perfect way to honour that movie-inspired heritage.

New water coaster Krampus Expédition is now open at French theme park Nigloland.
The exciting €12 million attraction (the park's largest investment ever) from the German manufacturer Mack Rides is 600 metres long, 28 metres tall and delivers 3.5G in force.
In the theme for the new ride, Nigloland has brought the forgotten legend of the Alps back to life.

Gröna Lund reopened on June 2 after being closed for 576 days, with their new inverted roller coaster Monster now open to guests.
Monster is the largest ever investment at the park in Sweden, at a total cost of 450 million Swedish Krona (44 million Euros). It is 111.5 ft tall, reaches a top speed of 55.9 mph and features three inversions; two Zero-G Rolls and a Corkscrew, plus a Jr. Immelmann.
As part of the project, a third of the park has been given a New York theme.
