To celebrate its 40th birthday in 2019, Walibi Rhône-Alpes will be opening more new additions than just the new roller coaster Mystic.

The rather impressive New Orleans themed area will also include new family attraction Les P'tits Cauldrons, re-themed tower drop ride La Totem and new restaurant Chez Marie Laveau.

With a total investment of €6 million this year, this regional theme park in France is significantly improving its offer to both families and thrill seekers.

Mystic

Walibi Rhône-Alpes will open a new Infinity Coaster built by the German manufacturer Gerstlauer.

This new roller coaster, the first of its kind in France, will be 575m (1,886ft) in length, 31m (101.7ft) high and reach a top speed of 85kph (53mph).

It will also feature a signature vertical lift hill, several inversions (Dive Drop and Zero-G Roll), a Top Hat, LSM Launch and Switch Track which will enable the ride to go forwards and backwards.

Each train will be made up of 3 cars with 4 passengers in each, for a total of 12 passengers per train. The brand new ride opens in June 2019.

Les P'tits Cauldrons

The new family attraction Les P'tits Cauldrons will be a 'tea cups' style ride. On board the giant cauldrons, riders will take part in a voodoo ritual, spinning wildly out of control. Opens on 13 April 2019.

Chez Marie Laveau

On the catering side, Chez Marie Laveau will open its doors on 13 April 2019. Visitors will be able enjoy the cuisine of the High Priestess voodoo! With this addition the theme park will now offer 8 restaurants for all budgets.

La Totem

The previous SkunX Tower drop ride will be re-themed and re-named La Totem. With a height of 55 metres and a speed of 64  km/h, this is a thrilling ride.

Walibi Rhône-Alpes opened a new Festival City area in the theme park last year, featuring 3 new Zamperla attractions; a Vertical Swing, Samba Balloon and Rockin' Tug.
