Rainbow MagicLand in Italy begins a €40 million re-launch of the theme park in 2019, with the complete transformation of a children's area and 3 new attractions.
The investment of around €8 million this year is centred on Tonga, a new jungle-themed area with a new water ride, driving school and playground.
In the next five years further investments are planned in new attractions, and with these developments Rainbow MagicLand expects to exceed 1.2 million visitors.
The new area, Tonga, has been designed for families and takes the space now occupied by the 'Kingdom of Smalls' and will be completely redesigned with a jungle theme where every element, attraction, store and refreshment point will be a truly unique experience for younger guests.
It will be like plunging into an unexplored region of South East Asia, among the exotic plants and mysterious wild animals where adults and children can feel like real adventurers. Immersed in the heart of the forest, young explorers will discover an ancient temple in ruins and right there they will learn to drive off-road at Motor Jungle. After following special driving training, young drivers will be ready to hit the road and earn their license.
Also waiting for young adventurers will be the Jungle Camp training camp, the biggest playground in Italy, with slides and climbing in complete safety, while parents can wait for them in an area dedicated to them for relaxation.
In summer 2019, the new water flume ride Nui Lua will open. In the heart of the jungle, among the thick foliage of the trees, you will see a gigantic and impressive volcano, which emits smoke and lava from its top. Only the bravest will face the dangerous waters infested by crocodiles, aboard the little boats in which you will enter the volcano's pulsing heart.
There will be an area dedicated to entertainment with jungle-themed characters giving live performances, new refreshment points (including an eagerly awaited sandwich bar with sausages cooked over natural embers) as well as new points of sale for the purchase of souvenirs.
Among the other new additions for 2019, a new Haunted Hotel will replace the previous Demonia attraction. The new scary walk-though experience will include a journey inside a hotel with dark and chilling scenes, made even more terrifying by the presence of a considerable number of actors who will lead the public on their way.
There will also be a significant restyling of the theme park: the facilities, attractions, reception points and a large part of the food and beverage offer will be radically renewed.
