In 2025, Futuroscope, the French theme park renowned for innovative and futuristic attractions, is set to unveil a brand-new water ride that promises to be unlike anything seen before.
Mission Bermudes, a dynamic and adventurous water attraction with dark ride elements, will take visitors on an exhilarating journey into the unknown, combining a water ride with the thrills of a roller coaster.
The innovative Rocking Boat ride system, presented by Mack Rides, will power the new attraction. This unique system allows for a controlled rocking motion, tight turns, sudden movements and steep climbs, creating a very unpredictable and thrilling experience for riders.
The ride is not a traditional water coaster, but rather a dynamic fusion of water elements and roller coaster-style excitement. Riders will board the 10-person boats and embark on a journey that feels more like an adventure through uncharted waters, with surprises at every twist and turn.
Mission Bermudes will take guests into the heart of a stunning and mysterious world. The theme park is keeping many details under wraps, but the adventure will begin in a peaceful, idyllic environment. As the expedition progresses, however, things become more intense and unpredictable, with visitors encountering thrilling and unexpected twists along the way. The entire experience will last approximately 10 minutes, keeping guests on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
The attraction will be set on a sprawling 1.38-hectare area, incorporating both indoor and outdoor sections. In the outdoor portion, guests will traverse through a lush jungle, with the boats navigating steep slopes, including one that will plunge a dramatic 15 metres into the depths. To reach these heights, the boats will ascend via a vertical lift, seamlessly integrated into the course, adding to the excitement of the ride.
Despite its adventurous nature, Mission Bermudes is designed to be a family-friendly attraction, with a minimum height requirement of just 1.1 metres, making it accessible for younger visitors as well. This new addition to Futuroscope’s lineup continues the park's tradition of offering unique and cutting-edge experiences for all ages.
