In 2017, PortAventura World opened Ferrari Land, a brand new theme park dedicated to the prestigious Italian firm. This year they will add a new kids' area with 5 attractions.
Ferrari Land is a theme park unique in Europe with 70,000 m2 of attractions as well as restaurants, shops and shows that all embody the spirit of Ferrari.
The current attractions aimed at children include the Maranello Grand Race racing circuit, Junior Championship 'whip' ride and Kids' Podium play area.
The theme park's signature attraction is Red Force, the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Europe, accelerating 0-112mph in 5 seconds then rocketing 367ft into the sky.
Other highlights include the Thrill Towers, Flying Dreams and Racing Legends.
The 5 new attractions will be:
Junior Red Force - a family roller coaster for the little ones that cannot ride in the mighty Red Force, so they can also enjoy a roller coaster themed as a Formula 1 car.
Kids' Tower - a drop tower ride of 9 metres, so that children enjoy a similar sensation to the Thrill Towers.
Crazy Pistons - this attraction simulates the movement of the pistons in a Ferrari engine, raising and lowering riders in rotating and swinging movements.
Champions Race - where children can ride in a small Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, in a rotating attraction.
Red Baron - younger pilots can ride in small planes in a rotating attraction that goes up and down.
The 5 new attractions will be built in the area known as the Champions Arena, where the Acrobatic Show is already located.
Italian amusement company SBF-VISA Group is the manufacturer of the 5 new attractions in 2018.
