Starting in October 2018 be immersed in the mesmerising magic of Disney animation with Mickey’s PhilharMagic, a new 4D musical attraction coming to Disneyland Paris.
Mickey’s PhilharMagic will take over the Discoveryland Theatre, previously home to 4D attractions such as Star Wars: Path of the Jedi, Captain EO and Honey, I Shrunk the Audience!
"Disney magic meets Disney music" in a spectacular 12-minute 3D fantasy adventure starring Donald Duck, with added 4D effects.
The attraction was originally developed for the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World where it opened in 2003. It is shown on the largest purpose-built 3D screen ever made, at 150 feet wide. It has subsequently opened at Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland.
Guests will make their way into the Concert Lobby, passing framed posters of performances by classic Disney characters and upon receiving a pair of “opera glasses” proceed into the Concert Hall and take their seats for the show.
As the lights dim, Donald Duck is fast asleep. Mickey Mouse appears with music in hand and wakes Donald before rushing offstage to ready the show. As Donald prepares the orchestra for Mickey, he comes across the conductor’s baton and decides to work a little magic by donning Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat. But things get out of control fast and Donald is unexpectedly plunged into a 3D dream world of classic Disney animated musical sequences.
Guests will join Donald Duck on a whirlwind tour of some of the most memorable songs in Disney animation history, including:
- “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast
- “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid
- “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” from The Lion King
- “You Can Fly” from Peter Pan
- “A Whole New World” from Aladdin
