The new Global Attractions and Attendance Report is the fourteenth annual collaboration between the Themed Entertainment Association and AECOM.

It identifies the most visited theme parks and water parks around the world, including Europe's Top 20 in 2019.

Disneyland Park (9.7 million) and Walt Disney Studios Park (5.2 million) at Disneyland Paris in France both remained relatively stable with a decrease of 1% at each, holding on to 1st and 4th place respectively.

Europa-Park in Germany continues to be the second most visited theme park in Europe with 5.7 million visitors (up 0.5%).

There was no change for Efteling in the Netherlands, staying in third place with 5.4 million.

Impacted by Denmark's record rainfall, Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen saw visitor numbers fall by 5.5% to settle on 4.5 million.

PortAventura Park in Spain held on to sixth place with 3.7 million visitors, an increase of 2.7%. Figures for Ferrari Land are not available.

Liseberg in Gothenburg, Sweden, claimed seventh place despite losing 3.4% to finish on 2.9 million.

Italy's Gardaland remained static with just a 0.7% increase, once again receiving 2.9 million visitors in eighth place.

In the UK, LEGOLAND Windsor remains the most visited theme park in the country with 2.4 million visitors, a 5% increase, while Alton Towers crept up by 1.4% to 2.1 million. Thorpe Park managed 1.9 million (up 1.1%) and Chessington World of Adventures hit 1.7 million (up 1.2%).

The largest year-on-year growth was seen at Parc Astérix near Paris, with a further increase of 7% to 2.3 million visitors. A year of impressive growth fuelled by an extended 30th anniversary season pushed them up four places, from 14th to 10th.

Elsewhere in France, Puy du Fou finished on 2.3 million (up 0.1%) and in 11th position.

Parque Warner Madrid received 2.2 million visitors, a 2.2% increase, moving up from 13th to 12th place.

LEGOLAND Billund in Denmark finished on 1.9 million visitors with an increase of 5.4%

Futuroscope in France partially recovered from a previous decline, adding 2.7% to reach 1.9 million.

Heide Park climbed back into the top 20, neck and neck with LEGOLAND Deutschland on 1.7 million visitors each.
