Walibi Sud-Ouest will be changing its name in 2021 as the park moves in a new direction.
The park in France opened in 1992 as Walibi Aquitaine and it has continued to use the Walibi name since then, despite several changes in its ownership.
Walibi Sud-Ouest is owned by Spanish company Aspro Parks, unlike the other three Walibi theme parks operated by French company Compagnie des Alpes.
Aspro Parks purchased Walibi Sud-Ouest from Compagnie des Alpes in 2015, and has licensed the Walibi brand until now.
The two organisations have mutually agreed to end this agreement.
Sylvain Chatain, Park Director of Walibi Sud-Ouest:
"The change won't be limited to the name, we are working on a new theme. However, this work could not be carried out under the Walibi brand belonging to Compagnie des Alpes, the former owner of the park. We want to change our positioning."
Walibi Sud-Ouest is a family theme park in France, which together with the Aqualand water park forms Parc Agen. Rides and attractions include the Boomerang roller coaster, Drakkar log flume and Radjar River rapids.
Last year, the park opened their new Dark Tower thrill ride - built by the German manufacturer Huss. The attraction catapults 24 passengers to a height of 50 m (164 ft) in a vertical takeoff that delivers over 3.5G.
