The popular dark ride Pirates in Batavia returns to Europa-Park on July 30.

At the end of May 2018, Pirates in Batavia was destroyed in a fire at the park. Europa-Park made the decision to rebuild the attraction, taking the opportunity to update it with new technology and story enhancements.

As we previously reported Europa-Park in Germany will re-open on May 29 following the easing of coronavirus related restrictions.

The four Managing Partners of Europa-Park (Roland, Jürgen, Thomas and Michael Mack) in a boat of the new attraction Pirates in Batavia which will open on July 30.

In summer 2020, the pirates once again take over command in the Dutch themed area.

Prepare yourself for a new exciting underground boat ride experience, which closely resembles its original design from 1987. For eight minutes, you will be taken through the exotic harbour city of Batavia with outlandish sounds, unforgettable scenes, and 125 figures.

Amongst the many new pirates, monkeys, crocodiles, snakes and more that were made with modern technology, you will also find figures of the original attraction.
