Europa-Park in Germany has revealed a raft of new additions to the theme park and resort for 2019, including both rides and attractions, as well as a previously announced hotel and water park.
During their annual press conference, that takes place at the start of each season, Michael Mack and Thomas Mack gave an insight into what to look forward to this year.
Opening dates for several developments were also confirmed, with the most anticipated being the re-opening of the Scandinavian themed area.
In the Dome of Dreams, located in the Greek themed area, young and old alike can look forward to Mission Astronaut. In the new 360-degree film, astronauts Alexander Gerst and Thomas Pesquet explain how to prepare for life as an astronaut, how a flight in the Soyuz space shuttle feels, and how to live on the ISS.
The colourful Scandinavian themed area, including culinary and shopping offers, will re-open on 24th May. It will include the new Fjord Restaurant, the snack bar Fiskehuset, the ice cream parlour Is Huset, as well as the two shops Sportsbutikk and Snorri's Varehus.
Later this year, a naughty octopus will takes guests to a mysterious island in the brand new family attraction Snorri Touren.

The tunnel on Fjord Rafting has been redesigned. With plenty of special effects, it takes you into a mystical world and the home of a troll that sparkles mysteriously in the dark.
The popular attractions Jim Button - Journey though Morrowland, Madame Freudenreich Curiosités and Ghost Castle, have all gained further detailed scenes and theming.
Magic Cinema 4D now features Mack Animation's 12-minute animated film Chaos in Wonderland 4D.
From 12th July, the new Junior Club Studios in the Dutch themed area will provide lots of fun and action for kids.
From 31st May, the new Hotel Krønasår will welcome the first visitors.
In addition, Rulantica – the new water park at Europa-Park, which will offer 25 exciting attractions for the whole family, will be completed on 28th November.
Pirates in Batavia will be returning as a completely new ride experience in 2020, but until then guests can get a preview of what's to come in the attraction by visiting the Treasury in the German Allee.
