Walibi Rhône-Alpes is getting ready to transform for its signature autumn event, with WAAAlloween returning from October 3 to November 11, 2026.

Building on a strong season that has already seen an increase of 18,300 visitors compared to last year, the park is scaling up its Halloween offering with major new additions, immersive zones, and historic late-night openings.

The Mystic Zone: A €300,000 Immersive Addition

The big headline addition for 2026 is the Mystic Zone, a brand-new immersive area created with a €300,000 investment. Centred around the park's iconic character Dr. Mystic, the scare zone plunges guests into an eerie atmosphere filled with dense fog, mysterious sounds, and a lingering curse.

Rated fear level 3, the zone is included in the standard admission ticket and opens right alongside the park. At its heart lies Marécage de l'Enfer (Swamp of Hell), a walking trail winding across pontoons and marsh trees where visitors will encounter monsters and performers. The Voodoo Bar rounds off the area with themed food and drink options.

First-Ever Late-Night Openings Until 1 AM

For the first time in the park's history, WAAAlloween will also feature two exclusive late-night openings on Saturday 24 and Saturday 31 October 2026.

The park will close at 18:00 before reopening from 19:00 until 01:00 for a special nighttime experience. All these late-night events will showcase the park's lighting, sets, and roaming creatures in a completely different light. Access requires a specific ticket and is strongly recommended for visitors aged 16 and over.

Five Haunted Houses and Roving Thrills

Thrill-seekers looking for intense scares can explore five haunted houses, available from midday for an additional fee:

• Clownz Trofobia (Fear level 4, 3D experience exploring a deranged clown's mind)
• Alcatraz (Fear level 5 fortress-prison escape)
• Le Manoir (Fear level 5 abandoned mansion)
• Anaconda (Fear level 5 bayou swamp hangar)
• Uranium (Fear level 5 mine operated by the Woodstock family, featuring a mutated miner)

Beyond the mazes, the park's entertainment line-up includes the return of Freaky Circus inside an 800-seat heated marquee and Le Pouvoir de Gaïa, a post-apocalyptic show featuring a zombie attack. Roaming actors will also populate the pathways, including the Woodstock family in the Explorer Adventure zone.

Family-Friendly Halloween for Under-12s

WAAAlloween will continue to cater strongly to families and children under 12. From midday, young visitors can take part in face-painting and pumpkin-carving workshops, alongside a park-wide treasure hunt with sweets as a reward.

To ensure younger guests can enjoy the celebrations at their own pace, children under 12 will receive an anti-monster badge upon arrival, designed to keep roaming creatures at a distance.
