Drievliet has lifted the curtain on its biggest annual investment yet, announcing a brand-new family ride alongside a fully re-themed entrance area. Together, these developments mark an ambitious step forward for the park as it prepares for the 2026 season.
Beyond new attractions, Drievliet is also investing in live entertainment and atmosphere for the new season. Plans include additional street entertainment, expanded appearances by park characters such as Chip & Charlie, and themed celebration moments including events linked to Daan Pelikaan.
StoomCycloon — A Whirling New Family Ride
The headline addition for 2026 is StoomCycloon, a new family attraction that will be a first of its kind in the Netherlands. Designed as a lively and interactive ride experience, StoomCycloon allows guests to influence how high their vehicle rises while spinning around a central axis, all set to energetic music and theatrical steam effects.
-
Ride type: Sidecar XL family ride from Technical Park
-
Experience: Rotating gondolas with height-control interaction
-
Height requirement: From 90 cm with an accompanying adult
With its low height restriction and playful presentation, StoomCycloon is clearly aimed at families with younger children, while still offering enough motion to appeal to adults.
The attraction forms part of a wider multi-million-euro investment programme for 2026, reflecting Drievliet’s continued focus on approachable, family-oriented experiences.

Pelikaan Pier — A Newly Themed Entrance Zone
In addition to the new ride, Drievliet will be transforming its entrance area into Pelikaan Pier, a colourful new themed zone centred around park's character Daan Pelikaan. The area is designed to give guests a warm and playful welcome, setting the tone from the moment they enter the park.
Key elements of Pelikaan Pier include:
-
The relocation of the park’s classic Zweefcarrousel into the area
-
Updated theming, music and signage
-
Refreshed retail and presentation around the entrance
The new pier-style theme is intended to improve first impressions, strengthen character storytelling and help guide guests more smoothly into the rest of the park.
