Europa-Park has officially announced a brand-new family attraction for the start of the 2026 season, with the water park mascot Snorri set to star in his very first cinematic adventure.

Titled Snorri 4D, the new experience will debut at the park’s Magic Cinema 4D, bringing the storyworld of Rulantica to the big screen for the first time.

The announcement was confirmed by Michael Mack, CEO of Europa-Park, who revealed that the project is being developed by MACK Magic, the entertainment division of the Mack family. According to Mack, the film represents an important step in expanding the Rulantica universe beyond the water park itself, allowing guests of all ages to experience its characters and mythology in a new way.

A Cinematic First for Rulantica

Snorri 4D marks the second time that the Rulantica brand has been adapted into a dedicated film attraction. The new 4D adventure is being directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Thierry Marchand, with an original musical score composed by Hendrik Schwarzer.

The film is produced entirely in-house by MACK Magic, under the guidance of MACK Animation, with production taking place at the company’s studios in Hanover, Germany.

Europa-Park has highlighted that every frame of the film has been carefully crafted to translate Rulantica’s distinctive visual style and playful tone into a cinematic format.

As with other productions shown in the Magic Cinema 4D, the experience will combine large-format projection with physical effects designed to immerse audiences in the story, making it suitable for families and younger visitors.

Snorri Steps into the Spotlight

Since his debut, Snorri has become the recognisable face of Rulantica, appearing across attractions, merchandise and live entertainment. With Snorri 4D, the character now takes on a leading role in a fully narrative-driven attraction, further strengthening the connection between Europa-Park and its neighbouring water park.

Michael Mack described the film as an opportunity to bring Rulantica’s magic to life in a new medium, inviting guests to discover the world from a fresh perspective at the very start of the season.

Opening at the Start of the 2026 Season

Snorri 4D is scheduled to open with the launch of Europa-Park’s 2026 season, and will be shown exclusively at the Magic Cinema 4D, located in the park’s German-themed area. Further details about the storyline and specific 4D effects have not yet been revealed.

With this new addition, Europa-Park continues to invest in high-quality media-based attractions and original intellectual property, complementing its recent focus on storytelling across rides, shows and resort experiences.
