Slagharen has announced Sky Sifter, a major new Wild West attraction opening in spring 2026. The 30-metre-high ride will be the first Zamperla Discovery Revolution 30 with full inversion in the region, marking a significant milestone for the Dutch theme park.
Blending storytelling, technology and flexible ride programming, Sky Sifter is designed to broaden the park’s appeal, offering both high-thrill intensity and a more accessible family adventure in one striking attraction.
Two Selectable Ride Experiences
A standout feature of Sky Sifter is its dual-mode ride system, allowing guests to choose their preferred level of thrill:
- Full Inversion Mode – A high-adrenaline experience featuring complete rotations, delivering powerful airtime moments and full upside-down inversions.
- Swinging Mode – A much gentler, family-friendly option focused on soaring height, speed and panoramic views, without turning riders upside down.
This selectable approach is relatively rare in flat-ride attractions of this scale and it should help maximise ridership across multiple age groups.

Ride Specifications & Capacity
Sky Sifter is set to become a new visual icon for the park. Key technical details include:
- Height: 30 metres
- Top rotation speed: 15 revolutions per minute
- Capacity: Approximately 540 guests per hour
With its height and movement profile, the ride will be highly visible across the park, adding fresh energy to the Slagharen skyline.

Wild West Gold Rush Storyline
True to Slagharen’s long-established Wild West identity, Sky Sifter will be heavily themed around a gold rush narrative. The attraction will feature two immersive queue routes, developed in collaboration with Leisure Expert Group.
Guests can expect detailed set design and environmental storytelling that builds anticipation before boarding, positioning the attraction as more than just a thrill ride, but a complete themed experience.

A Strategic Investment for 2026
Sky Sifter continues Slagharen’s strategy of balancing family attractions with more intense headline rides.
The ride is scheduled to open in spring 2026, with construction expected to become visible later this year. Further details — including final theming visuals and ride restrictions — are anticipated in the coming months.
