Gröna Lund is spinning up something new for next season. The historic amusement park in Sweden has announced the arrival of Spindeln (The Spider), a family-thrill ride set to debut in summer 2026.
Promising a mix of bounce, spin, and speed, the brand-new attraction is designed to appeal to a wide range of visitors—making it easier than ever for families to share the thrills together.
With space for 42 riders and a minimum height requirement of just 100 cm (39 inches) when accompanied by an adult, Spindeln is accessible to younger guests while still delivering high-energy excitement.

A First for Sweden
Spindeln is a Super Jumper ride manufactured by Italian company SBF Visa Group, and it will be the first of its kind in Sweden. Riders will experience rapid spins, sudden jumps, and plenty of airtime—all synchronized with a custom “Spider soundtrack.”
Safety has been a top priority in the attraction’s design. Thanks to its unique over-the-shoulder restraints, Spindeln is also the first Super Jumper in the world to welcome riders as young as four years old (100 cm tall), provided they ride with an accompanying adult.
“Our rides are always the most fun when they can be shared with family and friends,” said Jan Eriksson, CEO of Gröna Lund. “Following the success of our new ride Pumpen this year, we’re beyond excited to introduce a completely new type of ride experience next season.”
A Witch’s Garden Awaits
As with all of Gröna Lund’s recent additions, theming plays a central role. Creative Director Jakob Fagerström revealed that the queue line will transport guests into “the witch’s garden”—a mysterious, overgrown space filled with magical details and hidden surprises.
“For us, it’s not just about the ride itself—it’s about the world we build around it,” Fagerström explained. “Guests will feel immersed in a lush, enchanted environment even before they take their seats.”
